Sectional gates

 
Zaiger sectional gates are manufactured only after the necessary structural analysis has been performed according to the required dimensions of openings. The basic thermal and technical characteristics, reliability, and required safety for sectional gates are assigned at the stage of structural design and analysis by using a special set of components.

Quality

Assembling individual sections of sandwich-panels filled with rigid foam polyurethane produces Zaiger gate leaf. It is essential, for the purposes of heat conservation, that sandwich panels not only be thick enough (in our case, 40 mm in thickness) but also have a thermal connector according to the GOST standard. The GOST standard 31174-2003 for “Metallic Gate” specifies not only the presence of a thermal connector but also its size that should be no less than 2mm. As a result of combination of these two factors, Zaiger sectional gate sandwich-panels ensure a fairly reliable thermal insulation of the premises since the thermal resistance of assembled panels corresponds approximately to 530mm-thick brickwork.

Sandwich-panels are manufactured on a modern computer-controlled integrated continuous manufacturing line. In production, use is made of quality domestic and imported materials that comply with current eco-standards.

Panel outer and inner surfaces are treated by deep electroplating technique, and covered with a multiplayer polymer coating resistant both to attack by corrosive media and mechanical action, which allows to exploit the gates over a prolonged period of time.
Inbuilt zink plates for fixing hinges located at the top and bottom along the whole panel length give the panels, as well as the whole gate construction, some extra strength, and, besides, ensure a secure attaching of the hinges.

 
High-quality weather strips seal gates hermetically around the edges and ensure air-tightness. Besides, the panels are provided with special weather strips of foam rubber that ensure that the adjacent panels shall be snug against each other. Gate lower edge is equipped, along the whole width, with an elastic frost-resistant hollow rubber sealing profile with two rims to smooth out floor unevenness. The sealing profile retains its high mechanical strength and elasticity at low temperatures, and resistance to weather during the whole service life of the gates.  

 
For supplementary daylight illumination or when it is necessary to observe processes that occur on the reverse side, the gates may be equipped with set-in windows with double acrylic glazing.

 It is possible to substantially improve the functional potentialities of the gates and improve their design by equipping them with a wicket-gate. The wicket-gate is provided with a door-driving mechanism and a special lock, and has a rubber seal around the edges. The profiles are snug against each other, which secures a tight frame ledge of the wicket-gate.

Reliability

  Sectional gates have an important structural element, that is, a torsion spring-actuated mechanism that counter-balances the gate weight and facilitates their movement. Thanks to powerful torsion springs, the gates close softly and open effortlessly.
The reliability of torsion springs is achieved, on the one hand, by employing high-quality specially-hardened steel with special electroplating, and on the other hand by a thorough engineering design of the torsion mechanism construction. To improve the precision of design the gate leaf is weighed after it has been assembled.
 

Zaiger gate springs have special ends with threads cut in them that prevent the springs from turning through, whereas springs of greater diameter are equipped with an inner plastic insert that prevents them from sagging.

 The guides are designated mainly for securing smooth movement of gate leaf in the required direction. Zaiger sectional gates are equipped with guides made of zink-plated steel no less than 2mm in thickness, which guarantees the rigidity of construction and extends its service life.  

Guide roller type also affects construction reliability. Zaiger uses rollers that are made on the basis of a steel bearing filled with wear-resistant plastic material and pressed on a steel axle. The use of ball bearings combined with the adjustability provided for in the design of side hinges ensure smooth and soft travel. 
 
Gates may be opened with the aid of an electric motor drive, including that with remote control. It is convenient to open garage gates without leaving the car, especially when it is dark, or raining, or snowing. If no door is provided, it is advisable, in addition to an electric motor drive, to acquire an emergency unlocking device that will allow to open the garage in the case of switching-off power supply.  

 A complete set of Zaiger gates includes mounting hardware that allows to mount gates in brick, cement, or metal openings easily and quickly.

Style

Zaiger sectional gates match perfectly with any architectural style and make any technical solutions feasible. 
The sphere of application of sectional gates is fairly wide. Depending on the designation, gates may be of two types, domestic and industrial. Gates installed in individual houses, cottages and the like are of domestic type of sectional gates. They are characterized by small sizes (as a rule, not more than 10 m²) and a limited number of opening-closing cycles (as a rule, no more than 20 cycles a day).

 All the other gates belong to an industrial type. Industrial gates are mainly intended for more intensive exploitation (up to 100 cycles of opening-closing a day or even more) and they are as a rule characterized by a larger size (up to 20 m² or more). In this case all special requirements that are demanded of industrial gates are taken into account.
 
Sectional gates can be opened vertically and in the open position are positioned in the ceiling area. This principal construction feature ensures the maximum space in the garage as well as some space for a parking lot in front of the garage.
